Connecting Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers to a HDTV?
Im thinking of buying Logitech X-540 speakers from Best Buy for $50. I would like to connect it to a HDTV with a Playstation 3 connected through HDMI cable. I would connect the speakers to my pc but time to time I would like to play my PS3 in 5.1 surround sound. How would I connect these speakers to my HDTV?
I want to connect the speakers to the TV. I want to be able to play my PS3 with surround sound. My PS3 is connected through a HDMI cable and my HD terminal is connected through the only component port in the back. I have a free HDMI port but that doesn’t help at all. Logitechs’ X540 speakers do not have an audio optical port nor USB. I think connecting the speakers to the terminal would be pointless since I don’t want 5.1 surrond sound for tv shows, just the PS3
Your question is a little confusing. Where and how exactly are you planning to connect your speakers? Is it to the HDTV as said in the initial part of the question or to the computer as in the later part of your question?
Give some more details about the connections available to you on your HDTV, and your PC. Do you have any other components apart from the HDTV, PS3, Comp and the new speakers you are planning to buy?
